In honour of School Support Staff Recognition Week (Sep. 28-Oct. 2, 2020), as proclaimed by the Minister of Education, a sincere "thank you" is extended to all support staff in MVSD for the valuable work they do in our schools and in supporting the education of our students!

A number of school divisions in the Westman/Parkland area (Mountain View, Brandon, Park West, Rolling River, Southwest Horizon and Swan Valley) have been collaborating to provide remote learning for students in Kindergarten to Grade 8, who are immunocompromised or who have immunocompromised family members in their household and have been medically advised not to attend school. In an effort to support our MVSD families, we would like to offer parent/guardian tech training, which would focus on an overview of Microsoft Teams, accessing student marks and attendance in PowerSchool, available tech supports for MVSD families and tech Q & A. If you are interested in attending a session such as this, please click on the link by Sep. 18th to complete a short form which will enable us to plan for the logistics of the session!

To support schools in their re-opening plans, during the week of September 8 – 11, students will commence the school year on a staggered start (except for the DRCSS and Goose Lake High School, which are commencing with a blended approach). Click on the above link for details.
