Lt. Colonel Barker V.C. School uses several methods to communicate effectively with parents:

1. regular telephone contacts or notes
2. student agendas
3. parent meetings
4. monthly newsletters
5. school calendar of events

Parent Procedures Regarding Concerns

Parents are encouraged to contact the classroom teacher first when they have questions regarding their child’s programming and/or behaviour. Teachers and/or parents may then choose to involve the administrator depending on the nature of the concern.  Communication flow:

1. Classroom Teacher
2. Principal
3. Superintendent
4. School Board
